Dr. (H.C.) Ir. Ciputra

Ciputra or Tjiputra (24 August 1931 – 27 November 2019) was an Indonesian businessman, investor, and philanthropist. He founded Ciputra Group, one of Indonesia’s largest real estate companies, with three subsidiaries, including Ciputra Development, listed on the Jakarta Stock Exchange. Known as one of Indonesia’s most generous philanthropists, he established ten schools, the Ciputra University of Entrepreneurship in Surabaya, and the Ciputra Artpreneur Museum in Jakarta.

In July 2020, Universitas Ciputra Surabaya ranked 55th from +/- 4000 national universities based on the list released by the Indonesia Ministry of Education. The University awarded A accreditation by the ministry in 2018, whilst some study programs also awarded the highest level of accreditation, including International Business Management, Visual Communication Design, and Informatics (Computer Science).

Entrepreneurship at Universitas Ciputra

Universitas Ciputra Surabaya has been known as an Entrepreneurial University. Since 2006 it established a first class reputation with the tagline : Creating world class Entrepreneurs. Consistently from the first graduation in 2010, up to 40 % of our alumni continuing a startup business.

Choosing to be an Entrepreneur had been the major interest for high schoolers to study in Universitas Ciputra Surabaya. Parents and students agreed on the Entrepreneurship format in UC Curriculum had been successful in creating young entrepreneurs. It is also showed in the data that the percentage of sustainability Small Medium Enterprises created during students earlier semester can survive until they are graduated in 4 years of study in Universitas Ciputra Surabaya
